Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Pediatrics

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to pediatric and adult female patients
• Ensure quality care consistent with the unit's standards
• Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities based on patient needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Evaluate care plans and adjust based on outcomes
• Utilize effective communication strategies with staff, patients, and families
• Coordinate team assignments and ensure completion of care tasks

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Pediatrics

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification via AHA required
• ACLS Certification via AHA required
• PALS Certification via AHA required
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification required
