American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position on a day shift schedule requiring NM or compact RN licensure and ACLS certification.

• Operating Room/Surgery department within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• Full time, 13-week assignment
• Requires 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts
• On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week with charge duties as needed
• Floating to other departments required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Performs various Point of Care testing procedures

• Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the population served
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and evaluates outcomes
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Delegates and coordinates team assignments, following up for quality and completeness
• Serves as a resource to physicians, staff, and visitors
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Returning CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
