American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring TNCC and PALS certifications.
Requirements- Active NM RN license or Compact license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC from AHA
- CPI/De-escalation certification highly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Work in the Emergency Care unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating to other units/locations required
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Dress code requires pewter/charcoal grey scrubs
- Coordinate and implement patient care across a range of ages and acuities in the Emergency Dept
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, establish care priorities, and develop individualized care plans
- Perform various point-of-care testing procedures
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Document timely interventions and evaluate plan of care effectiveness
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local rate consideration
- Previous CHRISTUS Health employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment
