Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

• Carry out independent research with tight deadlines to achieve company goals related to discovery, research, development, project support, and commercialization.
• Separate cell mass and cannabinoids from fermentation broth.
• Analyze and purify various cannabinoid products to ensure the high quality of the final products.
• Build specific detailed guidelines covering all essential aspects of downstream processing.
• Perform other commercialization-related projects, including performing in vitro tests and conducting product development for cannabinoid products.
• Support water-soluble cannabinoid projects, including preparing media prep, inoculation, incubation, harvest, and sample prep.
• Emerge with scientific literature in relevant emerging technologies.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in chemistry or biology with 5+ years of experience, preferably industry-related experience focusing on fermentation and downstream processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstration of excellence in directing collaborative research efforts and teams.
• Exceptional critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstration of detail-oriented and working efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, transitioning efficiently to new and emerging projects.
