Overview
Repair and Tool Technician role at The Home Depot. The position is responsible for the evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. Technicians help ensure equipment is maintained and provide service to customers in Tool Rental.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
- Make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
- In stores with Tool Rental Centers, provide service to store customers in Tool Rental, write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, check equipment operation, and demonstrate proper use as needed.
- Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department.
- In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for repair quality and cleaned before returning to the originating store.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and manage tool inventory by performing repairs and upkeep as necessary.
