FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fill our Material Handler position. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials on the job site to ensure project timelines are met.

Essential

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with operating equipment: Assist the Operator with safely and efficiently operating telehandlers or forklifts to move materials around the job site.
  • Load and unload: Receive, unload, and secure materials onto trucks and into designated storage areas on the job site.
  • Inventory management: Track materials, conduct cycle counts, and assist with inventory audits to ensure accurate records and prevent shortages.
  • Safety and compliance: Conduct daily inspections of equipment, report any maintenance needs, and follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize hazards.
  • Site coordination: Coordinate material deliveries with site supervisors to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Site maintenance: Keep loading docks, storage areas, and machinery clean and organized.
  • Basic maintenance: Perform routine maintenance like cleaning, fueling, or recharging equipment.
Required

Skills and Abilities:
  • TWIC certification required
  • Must be certified in operating forklifts and telehandlers
  • Good hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision
  • Attention to detail and safety awareness
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a Fit for Duty screening
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and stretch
  • May be exposed to loud noises, dust, and fumes
