Mechanical Technician

The Mechanical Technician will support the space program located in Santa Fe, TX. Providing support development activity of high-pressure hydraulic system assembly, maintenance, and testing. During deployment of the system some fieldwork will be required.

• Assembly and disassembly of Subsea hydraulic accumulator system.
• Shop process development and testing activities.
• Cleaning and corrosion treatment of hydraulic system components.
• Support and maintain all shop tools and GSE.
• Facility maintenance and cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 3+ years of recent and related work experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read mechanical manufacturing drawings.
• Able to lift 40lbs.
• Must be able to work in hot weather conditions.
• Must be physically able to repeatedly climb ladders.
• Valid state driver's license.

• This position is located onsite in Santa Fe, TX (77510) and will also work at Bastion's corporate office in Houston, TX (77058); some travel may be required.
• Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

• Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
• Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
