We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Therapist to provide direct behavioral and emotional support to students facing trauma and risk factors.

The School‑Based Therapist works on‑site at multiple local schools, collaborating with school staff, teachers, counselors, parents, and community agencies찠 The role supports students, families, and staff while maintaining a trauma‑informed, resilience‑oriented approach.
Sample Duties and Responsibilities- aversely and collaborate with the school support team (principal, psychologist, teachers, family advocate, school‑based mental health counselors), keeping the principal informed of student concerns.
- Provide direct services to high‑risk children and families through counseling, networking, and referral to community agencies.
- Teach students skills for resisting peer pressure, including assertiveness, communication, goal-setting, and problem‑solving through direct instruction, modeling, rehearsal, coaching and reinforcement.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Master’s degreeeneric – AMFT, ASW, APCC, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in good standing with BBS in CA.
- Graduate students or trainees may be considered based on experience.
- Preferred: one year of experience with youth or families, experience with mental health or substance-use clients, and elementary school population experience.
- Experience with Cen Cal billing preferred.
- Excellent analytical, computer, written and verbal communication skills required.
- Professional attitude, teamwork, and ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
- Must possess current and valid CA driver license воқ current auto insurance.
- Must submit a cover letter.
- Temporary part‑time (20-25 hours per week during the school year), with limited benefits. Employees scheduled 30 or more hours per week are eligible for full benefits (medical, dental, vision, accident insurance).
- Pay range from $30 to $41.72 per hour, depending on licensure status and experience.
