Payroll Coordinator Industry: Entertainment
Location:
Santa Monica, CA Duration: 6 months Responsibilities
- Process accurate, timely multi-frequency and multistate payrolls in a large union environment.
- Audit and reconcile HR/payroll data, integrations, and bank files; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax, wage-and-hour, and multistate taxation requirements.
- Process employee garnishments and provide compliant setup and support.
- Prepare ad hoc payroll reports, respond to employee inquiries, and support payroll accounting, SOX compliance, and special projects.
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between HR policies and payroll, with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills; able to prioritize competing demands, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
