Job Description: Payroll Coordinator

Location: Santa Monica, CA 90404 (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months (Extension/Conversion based on performance)

Pay Range: $32/hr.

- $35/hr.

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Experience

Required:

2+ years

• Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple pay frequencies in a multi-state, unionized environment.
• Review, audit, and reconcile HR and payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate employee payments.
• Ensure payroll calculations and employee tax information comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including multi-state taxation requirements.
• Reconcile payroll integration files and bank files to ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll accounting, and wage and hour regulations.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll taxation and compliance requirements is preferred.
• Basic understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.

• Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines.
