Job Description & How to Apply Below

A well-established investment management firm is seeking an experienced fund accounting professional to join its growing finance team. This individual will play an important role in financial reporting, fund oversight, and accounting operations across a portfolio of complex investment structures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior Fund Accountant or Fund Accounting professional looking to expand their responsibilities, gain greater exposure to fund-level financial reporting, and develop toward a fund controller role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support quarterly and annual fund close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Review financial statements, accounting work papers, reconciliations, investor reporting packages, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee and validate accounting deliverables prepared by third-party fund administrators.
  • Review fund capital activity, including capital calls, distributions, funding activity, and related documentation.
  • Assist with fund-level calculations, management fees, expense allocations, investment reporting, and other recurring financial analyses.
  • Coordinate audit, tax, valuation, compliance, and investor reporting requirements with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Support accounting controls, reporting procedures, documentation standards, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Assist with special projects related to fund operations, transactions, and financial reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Approximately 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in fund accounting, real estate investment, private equity, asset management, financial services, or public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and close processes.
  • Experience reviewing financial work papers and coordinating with external administrators, auditors, or other service providers.
  • Ability to analyze complex investment structures, multiple entities, and fund-level transactions.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Opportunity to take on greater responsibility within an established investment management platform.
  • Exposure to complex investment structures and institutional-quality financial reporting.
  • Direct interaction with senior finance professionals and external service providers.
  • A collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Competitive compensation, discretionary bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits.
