Axle Health is building the operating system for home-based care, helping healthcare organizations schedule, route, and manage their clinical workforce more effectively. As our Senior User Experience Designer, you'll be the design function's engine on the product team, reporting to our Head of Product, and owning the full arc of user experience from research and discovery through execution and post-launch iteration.

This role sits at the intersection of user insight, product strategy, and engineering, making design a visible driver of both product quality and business outcomes.

The work here is fast paced, hands-on, and high ownership. You won't be handed a playbook or a mature design system, and you'll design for users in a domain where the stakes are real and the workflows are genuinely complex. Embedded in the product team alongside product managers, you'll work directly with engineers and clinical operations stakeholders, leading research, shaping product direction, and building the systems and processes that make great design repeatable across web and mobile.

You've done this before. You have a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end design ownership, not just polished screens, and you can walk through the decisions that shaped your work, including the ones that didn't survive contact with users or engineering constraints. You've shipped to real users, measured what happened, and iterated quickly.

• Rapid design iteration: Translate product requirements and user feedback into wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity designs quickly, treating shipping and learning as the cycle rather than a long runway to perfection before handoff

• Cross-functional partnership: Work as a daily collaborator alongside product managers and engineers, moving at the speed of the development cycle and helping the team make fast, well-informed design decisions without process bottlenecks

• Lightweight user research: Run targeted, fast research - user interviews, quick usability checks, and feedback synthesis - that feeds directly into the next design iteration rather than standalone research cycles

• Multi-platform design execution: Own design quality across web and mobile surfaces from concept through final specs, ensuring what ships reflects user needs and works within real engineering constraints

• Design system stewardship: Build and maintain shared components and patterns that make the team faster over time, investing in the right foundations without over-engineering or over-abstracting
