Senior Accountant – Red Bull
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions and lead a full-time Staff Accountant. The role involves ensuring accurate financial transaction records for RBDC and RB Records, working closely with senior finance leadership, and coordinating with external auditors from Ernst & Young.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development
Supervise, train, and mentor a full-time Staff Accountant. Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and annual goal‑setting initiatives.
Daily Operations
Prepare journal entries and manage fleet leases in SAP, ensuring timely data entry and adherence to lease terms. Reconcile and post fleet‑related expenses and ROU amortization. Maintain the coding database, execute journal entries for third‑party consolidations, and update the ASC 606 revenue reconciliation file. Support the Accounts Payable team with vendor reconciliations, create fixed assets, and monitor daily cash position reports.
Monthly Accounting Close
Reconcile bank accounts, collaborate on cash reports, post accruals, reconcile balance sheet accounts, post depreciation entries, and prepare Fixed Asset Roll Forward reports. Provide the tax team with lease liability reports for the tax provision file and verify tax provision entries before Hyperion submission.
Liquidity Forecasting
Coordinate with Finance teams to collect revenue projections, analyze expense trends, prepare and submit quarterly liquidity forecasts, and request cash allocations.
Audit Support
Respond to audit requests, prepare documentation for audit reporting, manage PBC items, ensure compliance, and finalize GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
Ad‑hoc Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing new processes, carry out special projects, and collaborate with the Tax team on timely reports.
Qualifications- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience; public accounting and CPA certification considered advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V‑Lookups.
- Familiarity with SAP preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management desirable.
- Previous supervisory or management experience beneficial.
- Demonstrated effective communication at all organizational levels.
- Strong initiative, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Collaborative skills in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to work extra hours, including weekends, during quarter‑end and year‑end closes.
- Proficient understanding of lease accounting standards, specifically ASC 842.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range is $67,200 – $100,800 plus cash incentives. Salary offers may vary based on experience.
