As a Cardiac Monitor (EKG) Technician in the Central Monitoring Unit at UCLA Health, you will play a vital role in supporting patient safety and clinical care. From the Central Monitor Station, you will provide continuous observation of patients’ cardiac rhythms and other critical vital signs, serving as a key partner to the care team.

In this role, you will:

• Monitor 5‑lead EKG, pulse oximetry, respiratory rate, and end‑tidal CO₂.
• Recognize and interpret arrhythmias, ST‑segment changes, and QT prolongation.
• Respond promptly to actionable alarms and communicate findings to nurses and physicians.
• Document patient activity, hand‑off reports, and census reconciliation.
• Ensure equipment functionality and elevate issues appropriately.

Salary: $26.57 – $35.02 Hourly

We’re seeking a highly‑skilled, self‑motivated EKG‑proficient healthcare professional with:

• Certification as an EKG Tech – preferred
• Associate degree or diploma – preferred
• Experience in 5‑lead EKG monitoring using Phillips® monitor – preferred
