Job Overview

Savant of Santa Monica is looking to hire an Activities Director to plan and implement programs for senior residents, ensuring a welcoming environment and supporting their well‑being.

Mission

Enhance the lives of senior residents by providing exceptional care, engaging programs, and promoting their physical and mental health.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a well‑rounded and stimulating program of activities for seniors that fosters a positive atmosphere and meets the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of residents both inside and outside the community.

• Organize, conduct, and evaluate planned activities.

• Supervise activities/transportation staff, if applicable; provide training; set and adjust rates of pay and hours of work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum one year of experience working with elderly.

• At least one year of experience providing planned activities or be enrolled in an appropriate education or training program.

• Valid First Aid Certification.

• Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle report.

• Availability for weekend coverage and on‑call emergency situations on a rotating basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Activities Certification if state mandated.

Salary

Pay rate $26.00 – $31.00 per hour DOE.
