SQL Report Developer; W2

We are a staffing specialist working directly with all US States and Local and Commercial clients, known for our IT Services, Mobile development, Web development, and Cloud computing. We deliver high-performance results for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience working in report development
• 2+ years of experience working on ETL tools, with SSIS preferred
• At least 2 years of experience with development using Microsoft .NET framework
• Outstanding SQL programming skills, with the ability to write advanced queries, read data models, and understand dimensional table relationships
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience in VBA, Macros, Pivot tables, and Pivot Reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent skills in SQL Server 2008R2/2012/2014, including writing T-SQL, with the ability to write stored procedures, CTE, user-defined functions, and SQL queries
• Ability to develop and understand complex database models, SQL Queries, and SSRS reports
• Ability to develop dynamically parameterized, drill-down, matrix, and chart SSRS reports
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to trace report performance issues to the root cause
• Strong experience using SSRS report manager and report viewer
• Strong discipline in full life cycle development
• Good understanding of Project Management Methodology
• Experience working in Financial, HR, and Payroll is preferred but not required

• Design, develop, modify, and implement reports using SSRS and Power BI
• Deliver accurate and timely ad-hoc extracts that support different business requirements
• Communicate with business owners and project managers to define report requirements and create effective solutions
• Resolve report performance issues
• Perform data integrity and audit checks to ensure the accuracy of reports
• Support and perform software life-cycle development
• Ensure standards and best practices are followed and maintained in development
• Work directly with business users to develop innovative, effective, and efficient SSRS reporting solutions
• Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reports and develop strategies for enhancement and improvement
• Enhance the developed reporting documentation effectiveness, thoroughness, and organization
