Position SummaryThe Manager of Scientific Programs and Communications oversees the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s (PCF) global scientific knowledge exchange and scientific communications programs. This role supports PCF’s mission by tracking advances in prostate cancer research, facilitating scientific collaboration, and delivering clear, accurate scientific information to diverse audiences including researchers, clinicians, donors, and the public. The Manager works independently, manages multiple programs, and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to advance PCF’s scientific and research goals.
Key Responsibilities Scientific Programs & Knowledge Exchange- Manage PCF’s global scientific knowledge exchange initiatives, including tracking worldwide prostate cancer research developments.
- Organize and support PCF scientific webinars, working group meetings, and scientific conferences.
- Attend scientific meetings and symposia to identify and assess prostate cancer research with high-impact potential.
- Maintain scientific currency in global prostate cancer research through conference participation, comprehensive literature review, and critical scientific and medical analysis.
- Identify emerging discoveries and research trends across diverse fields that are relevant to PCF’s mission and funding priorities.
- Generate scientific reports, manuscripts, and enduring scientific materials.
- Participate in the development of PCF’s publication and scientific communication strategy.
- Collaborate with other PCF departments to develop accurate, high-quality scientific communications.
- Provide oversight of scientific information released by the Foundation.
- Collaborate in the oversight of pre- and post-award administration of PCF’s multidisciplinary, multi-million-dollar prostate cancer research award portfolio.
- Collaborates in oversight of the PCF grants management database.
- Manage PCF’s career development programs for early-career researchers.
- Serve as a point of contact and liaison between PCF and key investigators, clinicians, biopharmaceutical partners, and the broader scientific community.
- Maintain effective partnerships with PCF Communications and Development teams.
- Reports to the Vice President, Global Research & Innovation.
- Works independently with full responsibility for managing and implementing programs under direct supervision.
- Advanced degree (PhD, Pharm
D, or MD) in Life Sciences or a related field preferred. - Experience in scientific writing for diverse audiences.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with scientists, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
- Expertise in using online and scientific databases for literature searches and information retrieval.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and scientific databases.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Keen interest in cancer biology and translational research.

Position Type and HoursFull-time, typically 8am-5pm, five days a week, but can expect to work on weekends and more than 40 hours a week. Will be allowed to work remotely one day a week.
