Part‑time Kitchen Assistant – Thursday, Friday, and Sunday shifts.
The Gourmandise School located in Beverly Hills, CA.

The Kitchen Assistant supports the Chef/Instructor and guests during cooking classes and private events. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a passion for a seamless culinary experience.

• Ensure all ingredients are prepped and the kitchen is set up before each class or event.
• Work closely with the Chef Instructor, anticipating their needs and assisting students/guests throughout the experience.
• Welcome students and private event guests, helping them feel comfortable.
• Kitchen maintenance and cleanliness:
  • Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning during and after classes/events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in coordination with the Chef and Dishwasher.
  • Remove used dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils as needed.
• Follow safety protocols, help with storage organization, and assist with additional kitchen projects as assigned.
• Support general kitchen operations and take on tasks as directed.

• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant in a commercial kitchen (management experience is a plus).
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to stand for 5 hours and frequently lift/move objects from 10 to 35 lbs.
• Strong familiarity with kitchen operations, equipment, and food/produce basics.
• High energy, strong work ethic, and efficient movement in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, professional demeanor; customer‑focused with a strong commitment to guest experience; team‑oriented.
• Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Flexibility – schedule and shifts will be assigned on an as‑needed basis in coordination with availability; daytime and evening shifts seven days a week.

• Hourly rate: $19–$21 to start (plus gratuities), depending on experience.
