A Typical Day Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You’ll lead customer-centric teams to accelerate their seasonal tax business, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.

This role requires in-person work.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over three tax offices, guiding the customer-centric teams to achieve growth objectives
  • Lead the development and performance of associates, ensuring a high-quality client experience
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing community involvement
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center
  • Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
  • Create associate work schedules across offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management
  • Travel between offices as required
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment
Your Expertise
  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates
  • Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading a growth-oriented culture
  • Strong decision-making in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Final pay decisions depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and in benefits described above.
