Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic

Join our outpatient clinic to treat a variety of orthopedic and sports medicine patients. In this role, you will plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent disability.

• Review physician's referral/prescription and patient condition to determine physical therapy treatment required.
• Test and measure patients’ strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency; record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data.
• Administer physical therapy treatments (including home instruction) within scope of practice and monitor patient responses.
• Evaluate effects of treatments and adjust plans to achieve maximum benefit.
• Document findings, treatments, responses, and progress in patient charts per clinic guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and other departments to ensure interdisciplinary care.
• Comply with clinic infection control, safety, regulations, and policies.
• Educate patients and families on care and use of therapies/exercises; serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Provide physical therapy services and maintain appropriate protocols.
• Supervise and assist with student observation and clinical rotations if applicable.
• Assist in marketing/promotional efforts and participate in in-services and departmental meetings.
• Support smooth clinic operations as assigned by the Therapy Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Physical therapy degree from an accredited college or university; one year of related experience and/or training preferred. New grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must possess a Physical Therapy license in the state of practice and display it at each practice location.
