Installation Technician, Building Maintenance
OVERVIEW
The Garage Door Installer for Construction Resources is responsible for the professional installation of residential garage doors, including all related hardware, tracks, and components. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. The ideal candidate demonstrates effective troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, manages time efficiently, and provides exceptional customer service while representing the company in a professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Install new residential garage doors according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Inspect, adjust, and align tracks, springs, and door sections to ensure smooth and safe operation.
- Remove existing garage doors and hardware as needed for replacement installations.
- Test doors for proper balance and functionality after installation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area.
- Communicate effectively with customers and builders to ensure satisfaction with completed installations.
- Complete all required documentation, work orders, and service records accurately and on time.
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials efficiently to control costs and enhance productivity.
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds and performing physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience installing garage doors preferred (training provided for qualified candidates).
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Ability to work flexible hours (average 40–50 hours per week).
