Location: Santa Rosa, CA (In-Office)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Project Estimator to join our construction team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to learn estimating and project engineering through a structured in-house training program. The Estimator will support project planning, cost analysis, and bid preparation while collaborating closely with project managers, foremen, vendors, and subcontractors3>
- Prepare accurate project estimates and proposals based on blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Assist in converting estimates into competitive and profitable bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to support project execution.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Assist with supplier and subcontractor pricing coordination.
- Participate in internal meetings related to project planning and progress.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and company standards.
- Support jobsite visits as needed and follow all safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Comprehensive in-house training program provided.
- Open to candidates without prior estimating experience who are motivated and eager to learn.
- Construction Management or Drafting coursework is a plus but not required.
- Performance-based raise upon successful completion of training.
- Starting salary: $60,000 annually.
- Post-training salary: $65,000 annually (approx. 90 days).
- Full benefits package provided.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (construction-related field preferred but not required).
- 0–2 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or construction-related roles (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid California driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform occasional physical tasks during site visits.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.
