Psychiatrist, Santa Rosa

Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) has an immediate opening for a full-time Psychiatrist
. The Psychiatrist will play a key role in expansion and implementation of our consultative Behavioral Health Program. This role will combine direct clinical care with program leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for mental health innovation and community impact. This position offers excellent growth potential and opportunity for leadership within a well-established, physician-led medical group.

Opportunity Details

• Robust referral network from a strong base of primary care providers and patients within the Sutter Health system
• No call obligations
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with psychologists, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers and other clinicians
• Focus on outpatient care, with attention to psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, risk assessments, psychotropic medication management and crisis intervention.
• Opportunities for program development, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching (if desired)
• Leadership pathways for physicians interested in clinical or administrative roles
• Integrated EMR (EPIC)
• Strong office support staff

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Strong interest or experience in program development and leadership with a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and value-based care (preferred)
