The Psychiatrist provides a full spectrum of mental health care to inmates, including evaluation, treatment, and medication management. They coordinate care with onsite medical staff and ensure compliance with documentation and clinical protocols. Responsibilities include overseeing psychiatric nurses, supporting transfers, assisting with civil commitments, participating in medical review committees, and delivering consultations.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and medication management for inmate patients.
• Maintain medical documentation and consent forms in alignment with protocols.
• Oversee and collaborate with mental health staff, including nurses and care teams.
• Participate in care coordination, emergency transfers, and review committees.
• Ensure compliance with facility regulations and maintain HIPAA standards.

This is an on‑site position.

• Doctorate in psychiatry.

• Training and experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population.
• Experience working with IMO’s.

• Physician licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in psychiatry.
• CPR Certified.
