Responsibilities- Become the expert level owner of a suite of manufacturing equipment in Keysight’s semiconductor manufacturing areas, specializing in either dry etch equipment.
- Drive the capital acquisition process for manufacturing equipment.
- Develop preventive maintenance and repair procedures.
- Lead equipment repair escalations and oversee maintenance activities.
- Perform emergency repairs in a manufacturing environment as needed.
- Coordinate vendor service visits for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Drive hardware improvements and automation projects.
- Collaborate closely with process engineers and operators to support both volume production and R&D process development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and solve complex problems independently.
- Proficiency with CAD modeling (e.g., Solid Works, Siemens NX).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Motivation to pursue a hands-on, engineering career.
- Strong desire to learn new skills and tackle novel challenges.
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing or other technical environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Master’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in a common programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++).
- Experience using SQL for database interaction and data analysis.
- Background in lithography or dry etch within the semiconductor industry.
- Experience in chemical or high-hazard manufacturing environments.
- Technical project management experience.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience with automation platforms (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, or scripting for tool automation).
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
- Hands‑on experience with chemical or gas delivery systems.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in structured troubleshooting methodologies such as 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Fishbone diagrams.
This critical role is based at our headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA.
Pay RangeUSD $ - USD $ Year
