Game Developer

You can write Organization that works or Google Cloud that lasts; our Game Developer role at Business Advisory Corp is for engineers who insist on both. Cut to the chase and you get $105,000 - $149,000, a technology mandate, and Business Advisory Corp colleagues who treat ownership as the default.

• Integrate third-party services and internal tools into the Business Advisory Corp stack
• Decide when to buy Kafka versus build it for Business Advisory Corp's Santa Rosa, CA stack
• Partner with QA to define test coverage and catch regressions early
• Own the full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and Google Cloud libraries
• Apply Ansible and Google Cloud to solve delightfully-weird engineering challenges
• Wrangle Kafka config across environments so Santa Rosa staging mirrors production
• Keep the technology Google Cloud service humming through Santa Rosa's holiday traffic surge

• The humility to revise strong opinions when the data argues back
• Comfort with the freelance cadence of a Santa Rosa-based operation
• Working understanding of both Ansible and Git Hub Actions in real-world settings
• The kind of attention to detail that catches what spell-check misses
• The composure to deliver bad news early and clearly
