Job Description :

This role involves managing and coordinating custom manufacturing jobs in Model Shop—primarily focusing on Turning department work within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The coordinator ensures that jobs are accepted, scheduled, and executed effectively, communicating with customers and internal technical experts throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and process New Product Introduction (NPI) and Model Shop jobs via the MES.
• Work with technical experts to determine correct job routing.
• Assign jobs based on technical needs, workloads, and priorities.
• Communicate with customers to clarify requests and negotiate delivery timelines.
• Coordinate material and tooling purchases.
• Create and manage job routings in Shop Track NPI scheduling system.
• Oversee job progression through all process steps, ensuring delivery goals are met.
• Handle outsourcing by requesting quotes (RFQs), managing purchase orders, and tracking supplier deliveries.
• Maintain accurate job data in MES and provide weekly reports/metrics using Microsoft Excel.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Operations, logistics, planning, and scheduling knowledge.
• Experience in supplier management.
• Basic understanding of machining and manufacturing, including ability to read technical drawings.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools.
• Proactive team player with leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD.
• Familiarity with:

• Milling
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Technically knowledgeable in machining processes.
• Strong multitasker and decision-maker under shifting priorities.
• Comfortable coordinating between internal departments, customers, and external suppliers.
