- Conduct routine and emergency medical care for inmates, including chronic care clinics, infirmary rounds, and on‑site emergency treatment.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures for medical care, including SOAP documentation, formulary regimens, and use of in‑house resources.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions, and report concerns to the Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with accepted practices for incarcerated individuals.
- Provide input into facility‑mandatory committees as requested.
32 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri). Preference for schedule flexibility and readiness to cover emergencies.
Qualifications & Requirements Education- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience; corrections experience preferred.
- Patience and tact to work effectively with the inmate patient population.
- Scheduling flexibility to rotate hours/shifts and be available during emergencies.
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of employment.
- Current CPR certification.
