  Yes – distributed equally among nursing staff (up to 6–8 shifts in 6 weeks; nights, evenings, and weekends included, typically 8 hrs).

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical experience due to the facility’s trauma status. Applicants should be comfortable covering a broad range of surgical specialties and must be able to participate in on-call rotations.

• Provide skilled nursing care during surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including trauma, neuro, vascular, ortho, general surgery, robotics, and more.
• Anticipate and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to and during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with surgical safety standards, including Universal Protocol (Time Out) and infection control.
• Circulate and scrub for procedures as required.
• Administer blood products and manage intraoperative emergencies.
• Accurately handle, label, and transport specimens.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to achieve safe and effective outcomes.
• Participate in on-call duties and provide coverage for night shifts if needed.
• Float to similar units as required.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years OR RN experience required (5 years preferred).

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

• 3 years of Operating Room RN experience (prefers
  5).
• Required exposure to Level I Trauma Center.
• Strong background in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases.

• Active RN license in the state of assignment (no pending licenses).

• BLS (required)

• Neuro:
  Craniotomy, spinal fusions, laminectomy/discectomy, ALIF, XLIF, kyphoplasty.
• Vascular: AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula repair, fem-pop bypass.
• Gynecology:
  Hysterectomy, D&C, anterior/posterior repair (preferred).
• Plastics:
  Mastectomy with reconstruction, abdominoplasty, microvascular free flap.
• General Surgery:
  Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, Whipple, colon resection.
• Orthopedic/Spine:
  Arthroscopy, total joint replacement, fracture reduction, spinal fusion.
• Podiatry:
  Bunionectomy, ankle fusion, metatarsal surgery (preferred).
• Robotics:
  Da Vinci Xi – GI, urology, gynecology procedures (preferred).
• ENT/Thoracic:
  Tracheostomy, radical neck dissection, VATS (preferred).
• Professional Knowledge:
  Infection control, laser/radiation safety, blood product administration, malignant hyperthermia response, universal protocol.
• Equipment Proficiency:
  Cell saver, Hana table (preferred), electrosurgical units, fiber optic light systems.
