Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Behavioral Health team. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for mental health innovation and community impact. Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Opportunity Details- Robust referral network from a strong base of primary care clinicians and patients within the Sutter Health system
- No call obligations
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with psychologists, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers and other clinicians
- Focus on outpatient care, with attention to psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, risk assessments, psychotropic medication management and crisis intervention
- Opportunities for program development, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching (if desired)
- Leadership pathways for clinicians interested in clinical or administrative roles
- Integrated EMR (EPIC)
- Strong office support staff
- Board certified or nationally certified
- Nurse Practitioner:
Board certification as a Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred - Physician Assistants: additional training, education in psychiatry preferred
