Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking a California-licensed RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ED experience and EPIC proficiency.

• Active CA RN license
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and MAB certifications (ENPC accepted in place of PALS)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience managing diverse ED presentations including pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, respiratory conditions, trauma, and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and splinting
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year

• 34-bed Emergency Department treating patients of all ages and diagnoses
• Basic ED level with stroke and STEMI receiving certification, no trauma designation
• 4:1 patient ratio
• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours,
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on‑call requirements
• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions
• Delivers holistic, individualized care across an assigned ED area
• Returning employees must have a 1‑year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• First‑time travelers not accepted for this role
