Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position requiring a CA RN license and at least 2 years of inpatient acute PACU experience.

• Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• CCRN and CPAN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute PACU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Experience with Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery preferred
• Experience with a wide range of surgical cases including ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, arterial line management, and dysrhythmia recognition preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Work in the PACU unit of an acute care hospital
• Day and evening shifts available (5x8 hours), with start times staggered between 0600 and 0830
• Nurses are expected to remain until the completion of their assigned cases, as outpatient surgery does not offer shift relief
• Floating between sister facilities within the system may be required
• EMR:
  Epic required
• Provide perianesthesia nursing care to patients in pre- and post-operative phases
• Scrubs or business casual attire permitted
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• Candidates living within 50 miles may be considered local, though travel pay may still apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
