Solar Lead Installer (Up to $40/hr) Hiring Now!

Join Sun Solar Electric Inc. as a Solar Lead Installer. Position pays up to $40/hr you will work closely with master electricians and project crews to ensure high‑quality installations that meet all applicable electrical codes.

As a Solar Lead Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial roofs, documenting progress, and troubleshooting system monitoring.

• Layout and mount hardware on multiple roof types.
• Secure and wire solar modules with appropriate mounting hardware.
• Wire main service panels to comply with the NEC and complete solar interconnections.
• Document progress and completion of solar projects.
• Install and troubleshoot photovoltaic system monitoring.
• Other duties as needed.

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Reliable and regular attendance required.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Integrity, honesty, and ability to speak with customers.
• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug test.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and ability to implement them as required by AHJ.

• 2+ years general construction experience (required).
• 2+ years solar construction experience (preferred).

• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours a week that consists mostly of outdoor work.
• Confidently climb up to 40’ ladders.
• Lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• Bend conduit, form PVC pipe, and install rigid.
• Navigate roofs up to 12:12 pitch.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Must be able to work in various conditions such as standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting, often for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in harsh environments, such as extreme hot and cold, crawl spaces, roofs, extreme heights, etc.
