SANTAQUIN CITY is accepting applications for a Full-time Public Works Utility Maintenance Operator I or II. This position performs a variety of entry level to working level skilled duties related to the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of city utility and public works service systems including streets, water transmission, wastewater collection and treatment, and pressurized irrigation. Assists with maintenance of city parks, buildings, and cemetery.
Utility Maintenance Operator I
- Graduation from high school; and two (2) years related maintenance experience. Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License, required to obtain a Utah Commercial Driver's License, class B (CDL-B) within one (1) year of hire date. Must live within 30 minutes travel time from Santaquin and be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, on-call, standby and emergency call. Wage Range – $23.29 to $33.34 per hour.
Starting wage depends on qualifications & experience.
Utility Maintenance Operator II
- Graduation from high school; plus possession of designated technical certifications and four (4) years experience in construction, maintenance or repair of water distribution and sewer collection systems. Must possess the following certifications and/or licenses: a valid Utah Commercial Driver's License, class B (CDL-B), Water Distribution Operator IV certification, certified Flagger, HAZWOPER training and annual renewal, must complete Continued Education Units (CEU) are required to maintain or renew certifications.
Must live within 30 minutes travel time from Santaquin and be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, on-call, standby and emergency call. Wage Range – $24.55 to $35.21 per hour. Starting wage depends on qualifications & experience.
