Operations & Membership Coordinator
The Operations & Membership Coordinator (OMC) is a critical support role responsible for daily Chamber operations, member communications, and membership account follow-ups. The OMC reports directly to the President & CEO of the Santee Chamber of Commerce.
We are looking for someone who is versatile, adaptable, and comfortable managing a wide number of responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities- Chamber membership outreach and acquisition.
- Prospect new members, promote membership benefits, and build and maintain lasting relationships with both current and prospective Chamber partners.
- Process and manage membership invoices, payments, receipts, and deposits (A/R support).
- Perform A/R outreach on past‑due invoices and track progress internally.
- Manage and respond to Chamber emails, phone calls, voicemail, and member inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with office accountant to document monthly deposits, expenses, billing, and reports.
- Maintain membership database accuracy in CRM systems.
- Record meeting minutes and prepare agenda packets and supporting materials for the Chamber Board and Committees.
- Base office hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (in‑office) - Weekend and evening availability
- Occasional extended hours for event setup and breakdown
- Must be flexible to adjust work hours on occasion—starting earlier or working later than standard operational times—to support staffing needs during periodic Chamber events and activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Quick Books Online, Constant Contact, and Canva.
- Chamber Master proficiency is a big plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Confident, trustworthy, ethical, motivated, optimistic, and coachable.
- Comfortable performing member account outreach and internal A/R tracking.
