Foreman Telecom Aerial

Foreman Telecom Aerial at VCI Construction will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will serve as the on‑site expert, offering guidance and support to less experienced team members.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators.
  • Maintain safe work areas and smooth traffic flow while on the job.
  • Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and saws.
  • Provide guidance and support to crew members as needed.
  • Be prepared to travel for storm response on short notice.
  • Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.
  • Complete and maintain all required training.
  • Work independently with coworkers, customers, and others in unsupervised interactions.
  • Provide accurate and reliable information to others in the company.
  • Drive safely as required by the job.
  • Use computers and related technology responsibly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  • Valid state driver's license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Be a certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
  • CDL Class "A" driver license is preferred.
Physical Abilities & Exposures
  • Routinely work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift objects greater than 55 pounds.
  • Occasionally use keyboard and mouse.

Wage range: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour.
