Credit Analyst
A local company in Saraland, Alabama is looking for a Credit Analyst to join their team. The credit analyst is responsible for determining the credit-worthiness of potential customers based on a number of factors, in addition to maintaining customer accounts, following documented guidelines, and processing standards to compare information.
- Analyzing credit reports, financial records and other available information to determine and manage the credit worthiness of accounts.
- Request pre-payment from non-credit-worthy customers.
- Request deposits on custom orders and when a customer’s purchases exceed their established credit line.
- Work with Claims Department on resolution of deductions and claims for assigned accounts.
- Answer calls from customers as well as internal and external reps. Calls include requests for invoices and statements, inquiries about account status, credit hold issues, etc.
- Collection of receivables.
- Place direct phone calls and emails to customers that are past due.
- Account reconciliation.
- Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive informati
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Business/Financial Degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience as a Credit Analyst
. - Ability to analyze financial statements, credit reports, and business conditions.
- PC and spreadsheet preparation experience required.
- Efficient and strong collection/negotiation skills are a must.
- Experience with AS400 helpful.
- Microsoft Suite knowledge.
- For this position, the pay is $19.71/hour
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Contract to hire position
