Front of House Team Leader

Position Overview

The Team Leader is responsible for leading the restaurant during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong operational execution, and a positive team environment. This role serves as the point person on shift-coaching team members, solving problems in real time, and upholding Chick-fil-A standards of food safety, speed, accuracy, and hospitality.

Team Leaders set the tone for the shift and play a critical role in developing team members and protecting the culture of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Execution

* Lead assigned shifts by directing team members

* Ensure operational excellence in speed of service, accuracy, cleanliness, and food safety

* Monitor guest flow and adjust staffing and positioning as needed

* Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally

Team Coaching & Development

* Coach team members in real time to improve performance and confidence

* Model Chick-fil-A hospitality and core values on every shift

* Assist with training new team members and reinforcing standard procedures

* Encourage teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment

Operational Support

* Open and/or close the restaurant following established procedures

* Work in operations with the team while leading

* Complete shift checklists, cash handling, and basic administrative tasks

* Communicate effectively with leadership regarding shift performance and team needs

* Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards

Culture & Guest Experience

* Create a welcoming, energetic environment for both guests and team members

* Lead by example in attitude, professionalism, and work ethic

* Protect and promote Chick-fil-A's culture and brand standards

Qualifications

* Previous leadership or restaurant experience preferred

* Strong communication and decision-making skills

* Ability to lead calmly and confidently in a fast-paced environment

* High standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and teamwork

* Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

* Dependable, organized, and solutions-oriented
