Key Elements of the PositionRobb & Stucky Furniture and Interiors is seeking a creative and talented Interior Designer. The ideal candidate will conceptualize and create visually stunning and functional interior designs while developing a solid client base. The role blends design expertise with a professional sales background: you will handle sales transactions, returns, special orders, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete. You will also provide both direction and mentorship to design assistants, collaborating seamlessly with Management, Customer Service, and Office Support staff.
EssentialFunctions and Basic Duties
- Work one-on-one with customers visiting our well-appointed retail showrooms.
- Prepare design presentations on a project basis, using visual media such as fabric swatches, finishes, photos, and floor plans, both in house and digitally.
- Provide accurate measurements to our CAD Team for presentations, utilizing room planning programs or CAD assistance on studio presentations to clients.
- Efficiently handle sales functions, including effective completion of sales records and reports.
- Establish and maintain good interpersonal relations with clients.
- Project a genuinely positive company image to the public.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or 2–4 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in high‑end furniture sales. ASID certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Experience/familiarity with CAD and moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation that meets minimum state insurance requirements, for in‑home appointments.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Solid math abilities.
