Civil; Design Engineer; Data Centers

Overview

Jacobs is hiring a Civil (Design) Engineer (Data Centers) to join our Advanced Manufacturing group. This role can be located anywhere in the United States; we will hire the best candidate regardless of current residence.

USD $85,000.00 – $ per year (annual salary). Individual pay is determined by location, experience and education.

• Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, including grading plans.
• Prepare grading plans, cut‑and‑fill analysis and earthwork balancing.
• Perform hydrology analysis for storm drainage systems and wastewater system design.
• Provide erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support permit approvals.
• Research and adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
• Coordinate underground utility routing and site space planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project schedules and technical quality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience with extensive project experience.
• Strong experience designing medium to large scale industrial developments.
• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Bluebeam or Navisworks preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and drive broader knowledge base.

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Bluebeam experience.
• Navisworks experience.
