Overview
Jacobs is hiring a Civil (Design) Engineer (Data Centers) to join our Advanced Manufacturing group. This role can be located anywhere in the United States; we will hire the best candidate regardless of current residence.
Base Pay RangeUSD $85,000.00 – $ per year (annual salary). Individual pay is determined by location, experience and education.
Responsibilities- Conceptualize initial civil design for land/site development, including grading plans.
- Prepare grading plans, cut‑and‑fill analysis and earthwork balancing.
- Perform hydrology analysis for storm drainage systems and wastewater system design.
- Provide erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support permit approvals.
- Research and adhere to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
- Coordinate underground utility routing and site space planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project schedules and technical quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of engineering experience with extensive project experience.
- Strong experience designing medium to large scale industrial developments.
- Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Bluebeam or Navisworks preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and drive broader knowledge base.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Bluebeam experience.
- Navisworks experience.
