A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and supports their families. RBTs implement Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst under the supervision of the Director of Nursing/Nursing Supervisor.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
• Background screening and drug test required for all employees

• Maintain current registration with the BACB
• Assist the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting
• Collect data on all programming and write progress notes
• Advise and consult with families and other agency personnel
• Participate in and present at in‑service programs as assigned
• Adhere to established policies and procedures
• Collaborate with health care personnel in patient care planning
• Teach patients and families/home programs and protocols with proper documentation
• Attend all staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled
• Report incidents or complaints promptly to the BCBA/Therapy Supervisor
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Ensure a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

The role requires talking and hearing, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
