The Enviromental Health & Safety Coordinator is an integral part of our Environmental Health & Safety team based out of our US - Sarasota, FL site.
Compensation range for this position is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
Position Details
The Enviromental, Health, and Safety Coordinator will develop and implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment as well as advance environmentally sustainable activities. Also ensuring compliance with corporate, local, state and federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Ensures compliance with safety and environmental procedures for OSHA, EPA, FLDEP, NFPA, and local requirements.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA’s Injury and Illness recordkeeping and reporting requirements that include OSHA 300A form, Incident Rate and DART Rate.
- Knowledgeable in GHS Hazardous Communication Program for Safety Data Sheets and Labeling requirements.
- Participates in the EH&S Council Team chaired by Corporate EH&S
- Monthly safety inspections
- Forklift certification/training
- Responsible for emergency drills and requirements.
- OSHA required trainings
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
