An internal medicine healthcare clinic is looking to immediately hire in Sarasota, FL a highly skilled, and compassionate Nurse Practitioner/PA who is licensed as a family or adult/gerontology NP in the state of FL. This is a part-time opportunity with the possibility of converting into a full-time position within 2 months. The organization offers an extremely lucrative compensation package, including paid time off (PTO), medical and will bear all credentialing costs, if needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage chronic conditions, treat acute illnesses, and respond to urgent medical needs and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.
  • Manage medication therapy effectively including dosage adjustments, discontinuing or changing meds as appropriate and avoiding high risk meds.
  • Simplify medication regimen for improved adherence and safety.
  • Order and monitor diagnostics including laboratory studies, radiological studies, etc.
  • Conduct health screenings, administering immunizations, and performing routine physical exams to facilitate closure of potential care gaps.
  • Document patient information accurately and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Recommend tools and devices that may improve the quality of life for the patient.
Qualifications:
  • Holds active, unencumbered Advanced Practice license in FL along with an Active DEA license.
  • Working knowledge of computers and ability to document effectively and efficiently in an electronic medical record system.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
