Repair and Tool Technician at The Home Depot evaluates and repairs small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. The role includes making equipment recommendations and ensuring units are maintained. Technicians may work in The Home Depot stores with Tool Rental Centers or in repair centers.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices.
- Provide service to customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, ensuring tools operate properly, and demonstrating proper use as needed.
- Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
- In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for repair quality, and cleaned prior to returning to the originating store.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage tool inventory by maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of tools and ability to apply it to repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to manage tool inventory and ensure quality repairs.
