Job Overview

Timeline Design+Build is seeking a talented and driven Architect to lead the design and execution of high-end residential projects from concept through completion. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural principles, project management, and sustainable design. You'll collaborate closely with clients, engineers, and internal design-build teams to deliver timeless custom homes that meet rigorous standards of quality, creativity, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present creative, functional architectural concepts that meet client needs and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Lead internal design reviews and provide mentorship to junior architects and designers.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee all project phases: planning, schematic design, construction documentation, permitting, and administration.
    • Manage budgets, schedules, and team resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Client Engagement
    • Cultivate strong client relationships, understanding their lifestyle goals and guiding them through design decisions.
    • Clearly communicate design intent and progress throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Ensure all drawings comply with current codes, standards, and sustainability benchmarks.
    • Leverage Revit, Buildertrend, Plan Grid, and Microsoft Teams for design documentation and coordination.
  • Work cross-functionally with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure integrated project execution.
  • Collaborate with in-house construction and design teams to align project vision with buildability and cost efficiency.
  • Sustainability and Innovation
    • Implement sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies.
    • Stay current with industry advancements, tools, and technologies to drive innovation in design solutions.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural design and residential project management.
  • Licensure:
    • Licensed Architect with active state registration.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Proficient in Revit.
    • Familiarity with Buildertrend, Plan Grid, and Microsoft Teams.
    • Strong command of local building codes and permitting processes.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple high-end residential projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Capable of climbing stairs and navigating construction sites.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors for material and design selections.

Schedule

Full-Time:
Monday–Friday

On-site work based in Saratoga, CA with visits to client homes and job sites as needed
