Position Details

Title: Part-Time Mechatronic Technology Instructor (Pool)

Campus: Mission College, Santa Clara, CA

Position Summary

This is a part-time, associate faculty pool position for the Mechatronic Technology program. Assignments may include teaching during day, evening, Saturday, or online, as needed during Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. This position is represented by WVMFT/AFT Local 6554.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is based on a percentage of a full-time workload, up to 67%, with a starting range of $36,191–$52,297 per semester, depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess either: (a) an associate’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or (b) a bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of relevant experience.

Must also demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.

Desired Qualifications

• Some college teaching experience in engineering or technology courses.

Examples of Duties

• Provide instruction, prepare materials, evaluate students, and maintain records.
• Follow course outlines, maintain office hours, and support student success.
• Foster an inclusive environment respecting diversity and academic freedom.
