Position: Geotechnical Engineer for Active Construction
Become a key player with Vertex as a Geotechnical Construction Advisor in southwestern Ontario.

Your role will focus on field assessments and advising on construction logistics.

This role involves working directly on construction sites, offering insights into soil behavior and groundwater conditions. With a solid foundation in civil or geotechnical engineering, you will assess site conditions and support the successful execution of project logistics. Strong problem-solving skills and field experience will be vital in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend construction sites to observe and advise

• Conduct subgrade inspections and assess fill conditions

• Prepare documentation and escalate key issues to engineering teams

• Coordinate activities with remote geotechnical resources

• Share knowledge and mentor emerging engineers

Requirements:

• Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering

• P.Eng. certification preferred

• Demonstrated experience on construction sites

• Clear verbal and written communication skills

• Valid Ontario driver's licence and own vehicle
