Emphasizing a commitment to equitable support, you will report to the Secondary Principal while working to enhance Indigenous students' educational experiences. This permanent position involves coordinating cultural programs and learning activities that encourage pride in Indigenous identities. Your efforts will align with the LKDSB’s mission to support diversity and inclusion in education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Empower Indigenous students in their educational goals
• Develop and implement cultural programs in schools
• Promote Indigenous perspectives in the curriculum
• Collaborate effectively with school staff and families
• Utilize advocacy skills to support student achievement
Requirements:
• Completion of a college or university program in a related field
• Relevant experience in Indigenous community work is advantageous
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Initiative and self-direction in task execution
• Knowledge of community services and educational policies
Support Indigenous students in their growth and celebrate their cultural heritage as a key member of LKDSB.
