Position: Long Term Occasional Civics Teacher Role

Advance your teaching career at Wellington Heights Secondary School as a Long Term Occasional Teacher for Civics and Careers. This assignment supports student learning during a vital transition period.

Starting September 2, 2026, until February 2, 2027, your primary focus will be delivering the civics and careers curriculum to students while ensuring a positive learning atmosphere. Previous experience in Intermediate History and/or Guidance and Career Education Pt 1 is necessary for this role. Your efforts will directly align with Ministry of Education standards for quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver curriculum for civics and careers

• Maintain effective classroom management strategies

• Apply instructional methods that meet educational guidelines

• Evaluate student progress closely and provide feedback

• Work collaboratively with school staff and families

Requirements:

• Intermediate History &/OR Guidance & Career Education Pt 1

• Strong adherence to policy and procedures

• Effective communication with students and parents

• Focused on promoting student well-being

• Capability to manage a classroom environment
