Facilitator Newcomer Youth Program

Position: Facilitator for Newcomer Youth Program
Support newcomer youth integration in Sarnia as a Facilitator for the YMAP program at the YMCA. Utilize your skills to lead engaging workshops and provide essential settlement support.

In this role, you will facilitate group programming and activities tailored for diverse youth populations. Your contributions will create a safe and enriching environment that encourages skill development and knowledge. Collaborating with the program settlement advisor is key to providing comprehensive support services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate co-ed and gender-specific youth programming

• Support activities and workshops in YMCA and community settings

• Provide needs assessment and solution-focused counselling

• Fulfill administrative duties and ensure attendance protocols

• Implement Child Protection Policy and emergency procedures

Requirements:

• Degree in Child and Youth Work, Sport and Recreation, or related fields

• Experience with youth preferred

• Skilled in Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms

• Fluency in English; additional language preferred

• Current Criminal Record Check is required
